Kaushik Biswas

Hailing from Kolkata, West Bengal, Kaushik Biswas, a renowned magician in India, is a performer extraordinaire whose fascination with magic began at the tender age of 12. Born in 1967, Kaushik's first mentor was Sri Nikunja Lal Karmakar, an amateur magician who first sparked his interest in performing magic tricks.

Balancing his passion for stage magic and mentalism in India alongside his academic pursuits, Kaushik graduated from Calcutta University and later earned a postgraduate degree in computer science from Jadavpur University. He went on to found his own software development company, Electro Media. Yet, magic remained his true calling.

Kaushik’s sleight of hand magician skills were refined under the guidance of his second mentor, the late Goutam Guha. In 1987, he was introduced to the art of mentalism magic by none other than Sam Dalal, one of India’s most iconic magicians and dealers. This meeting proved transformative, shaping Kaushik into a pioneer of modern mentalism shows in India.

Today, Kaushik combines close-up magic, mind reading, and theatrical illusion to offer performances tailored for every audience—from grand stage magic shows to intimate parlor magic shows in India.
